Add GST to a price, or strip it out of a price that already includes GST.
GST amount
How it works
Add GST: GST = price × rate ÷ 100; total = price + GST Remove GST: base = price ÷ (1 + rate ÷ 100); GST = price − base
Worked example: a price of ₹1,000 at 18% GST. Adding GST gives ₹180 of tax and a total of ₹1,180. Removing GST from a ₹1,000 inclusive price gives a base of ₹847.46 and ₹152.54 of GST inside that price.
